Before I attended and spoke at the Global Speaker’s Summit in Cape Town South Africa, my family and I took a photo safari at Zulu Nyala. Zulu Nyala is a small but wonderful game reserve in the Kwa Zulu Natal Province of South Africa. Because of Zulu Nyala’s relatively small size there are no resident big cats on the reserve so the antelope, zebra, warthogs, wildebeest and Cape buffalo are plentiful and unafraid.
I think the best benefit I received from being a professional athlete was not the money, fame or fortune my family enjoyed but the mentality I developed to get there. Successful athletes have amazing mental discipline, confidence and have command of their thought process. A successful athlete expects success because all he or she thinks about all day is being successful and winning. As an advisor, do you think about winning all day long? I never thought about losing, only winning. I have carried that same mentality into my business and have found out that it works here too. The successful mentality I developed in sports has allowed me to become the best in the world in two different industries. Which, confirms to me how you think will govern how well you produce. All of us want to get more out of our personal and professional lives. Accomplishing this goal will require us to be more productive in every area. Productivity is simply the process of achieving more results in areas where we wish to excel. Productivity is not simply a matter of working faster or working harder. It is, instead, the process of working more effectively.
