Journalist, author and news presenter, León Krauze has had a multifaceted career in both the media and academia.

For twenty years, Krauze has been one of the leading figures in Spanish-language journalism in Mexico and the United States, where he anchored newscasts for the Foro TV news channel in Mexico and the Hispanic network Univision, for the American Hispanic community.

He has received multiple recognitions for his journalistic work, including ten Emmy Awards, as well as the Edward R. Murrow, LA Press Club and Golden Mic awards.

In 2018, Krauze moderated the second debate of the Mexican presidential race, in Tijuana, Baja California.

A columnist for The Washington Post, Krauze’s work has also appeared in Slate, The New Yorker, The Atavist, The Daily Beast, Letras Libres, and a long list of publications in both his native Mexico and the United States.

As an author, Krauze’s interests are diverse. He has published six books, including “The Table, Stories of Our People,” a collection of fifty profiles of immigrants, and “The Flight of Eluán,” an acclaimed young adult fantasy novel.

As a university professor, Krauze has taught in Mexico and the United States. In 2016, he held the prestigious Wallis Annenberg Chair in Journalism at USC, where he is now a distinguished fellow at the Annenberg Center on Leadership and Communication Policy.

For almost twenty years, Krauze has been a prominent voice in journalism in both Mexico and the United States. Former anchor at the main national newscast for Univision, the leading Hispanic network in the U.S., he is a political columnist for The Washington Post and El Universal national newspaper in Mexico. Leon’s work has also appeared in Slate, The New Yorker, The Atavist, The Daily Beast and Letras Libres in Mexico.
