About Peter Vidmar
- Named: One of the Top 10 Speakers in America "Successful Meetings Magazine"
- Converting Olympic Gold into Corporate Wisdom
Peter Vidmar is a powerful and entertaining speaker at corporate meetings and trade shows. With over 2 decades of experience helping people throughout the country to realize their own potential, Peter does much more than just speak about his experiences. In his inspiring, humorous, and energetic presentations, he actually performs world class gymnastics on the pommel horse to drive home his message of Risk, Originality and Virtuosity (ROV) – and discusses how they apply to success in business and in life. His message brings something unique and refreshing to the corporate arena. Peter Vidmar is the highest scoring American gymnast in Olympic history. The winner of numerous national and international titles, Peter finished his successful career at the 1984 Olympic Games. As the USA men’s gymnastics team captain, he led his teammates to America’s first team gold medal with their stunning upset victory over the defending world champions, the People’s Republic of China. He went on to win the silver medal in the individual all-around competition (the first American to have ever won an Olympic All-Around medal), and with a perfect score of 10, he captured the gold medal on the pommel horse.Peter is a leader in the Olympic movement today. He is the Chairman of the Board of USA Gymnastics, the national governing body of gymnastics in the United States. He has served as a US Olympic Ambassador, and as the Co-Chairman of the US Olympic Committee Summer Sports Summit, an annual series of workshops designed to prepare America’s medal hopefuls to win Gold in future Olympics.Peter has worked for many years as the gymnastics commentator for CBS Sports and ESPN and continues to work as a journalist or broadcaster at each summer Olympics. Peter has served on the President’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports, the Executive Board of the United States Olympic Committee, and the Executive Committee of USA Gymnastics. He was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as Vice Chair of the California Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports for the state of California.

“I do want to make a special point to acknowledge Peter Vidmar's performance. He was perfect — genuine, passionate, dynamic and obviously, very skillful. He really drove our key message… home perfectly. On a personal note let me also say that I have never (I mean never) worked with a more gracious and sincere speaker as Peter. He not only did a great job fulfilling his speaking obligation, he spent the entire evening with our team at the bowling alley and then stuck around late in the evening talking to everyone in the lobby. And, late in the evening when I was speaking with three managers I sensed someone off to my side — it was Peter — he was patiently waiting for me to finish speaking to once again say thank you. Again, I have NEVER met anyone so genuine and gracious as Peter. Thank you! We will use him again.”
“Working with Peter was fantastic. He took the time to prepare for the presentation, whether it was participating on a conference call with our team, to arriving ahead of time… to meet people in the business and understand how it works. His presentation was extremely well received and he made himself available to meet and greet afterwards. Everything went perfectly!”
“Peter is an outstanding speaker and such an inspiration to all. He is not only an amazing athlete, he is an amazing person.”
“Peter was brilliant!!!! All of the feedback was really positive and our CEO was really impressed by him. The topics he talked about were a perfect complement to the discussions… that we had been having during the conference. Everyone that has commented has spoken about how "on point" he was with his messages, with the right mix of fun and self deprecation.”
“The charisma and insight you brought to your presentation made our meeting truly inspirational. I know I can speak for the entire team when I say we have all benefited… greatly from the ideas you shared. Thank you for your contributions in making this day a perfect 10!”
