In 1991, she began producing documentaries for PBS and other programs like: Nick News for Nickelodeon. Eighteen years later, Nick News is watched by more children than watch all other television news shows put together—and has earned honors traditionally associated with adult programming. Known for the respectful and direct way it speaks to children about the important issues of our time generating an Emmy for Outstanding Children’s Programming. Today, Linda produces primetime specials for ABC, CBS, HBO, PBS, Lifetime, MTV, Logo, A&E, MSNBC, SOAPnet, Trio, Animal Planet and TV Land, among others.  Ellerbee was honored with an Emmy for her series, When I Was a Girl, which aired on WE: Women’s Entertainment network.

Revered as a pioneer, a survivor and role model for young and old, Ellerbee charms sellout audiences across the country.  She speaks to them about surviving a changing world with her heart intact.  They come to hear her trademark wit and wisdom on everything from family life, friendship, getting fired, building a career, starting a company, discovering love, politics, feminism, surviving breast cancer, recovering from alcoholism, overcoming obstacles, climbing mountains and making a noise.   But it’s not just Ellerbee’s speeches that earn raves.  Ellerbee has brought her class and style to conferences all over the world as a panel moderator.  She has skillfully guided discussions on business management, health and healthcare, women’s issues, television news, advertising, internet privacy and security, kids’ television and more.

Whether as a keynote speaker, moderator, panelist or host, Linda Ellerbee puts audiences at ease while inspiring them with her gifts of honesty, courage, hope, and laughter.    There is a reason Linda Ellerbee gets standing ovations.
