Most recently, she has been seen in “Your Honor”, DC’s “Birds of Prey”, “The Flight Attendant”, and Apple TV+’s “Before” with Billy Crystal.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Perez is a proud Puerto Rican and long-time advocate for health equity, arts education, and social justice. In 2010, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS.
She is the author of “Handbook for an Unpredictable Life”, a memoir chronicling her turbulent upbringing, her life in foster care, and resilient journey to entertainment. Perez is also a lifelong boxing fan and served as an official commentator for Netflix’s Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul broadcast.
