As an award winning filmmaker, media personality, international speaker, and media entrepreneur, Lisa sits at the helm of a burgeoning empire that includes business and media properties. Lisa started her first company at just nineteen years old and went on to start others. Today, Lisa is the CEO of Inspired Life Media Group where she and her team create media with message™. Using film, television, stage, new media, print, and live events, Inspired Life Media Group employs media as a vehicle to start meaningful conversations, ignite positive action, and create lasting change.
Lisa works on all sides of the camera and stage, creating content that educates and entertains. She is a regular contributor to the Business Beware Show which reaches more than 20 million homes throughout the United States. Lisa wrote, starred in, and directed the full-length stageplay, Deal Breakers. Her other film and television credits as an actress, writer, and producer include Lifetime’s What Should You Do?, the critically acclaimed PBS Raising Readers campaign, and the award winning HIV awareness film, Walking on Sunshine, among others. Additionally, Lisa is a contributor to the Alliance for Women in Media’s Digital Literacy Report for Women and Girls.
As the host of Inspired Life Radio from 2009-2011, Lisa interviewed more than 100 celebrities, authors, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, business experts, and influencers. Because of her gift for making the complex simple and communicating compelling ideas, Lisa’s show developed a following of nearly 10,000 listeners worldwide.
Lisa’s critically acclaimed book, Divine Inspirations, teaches readers how to apply spiritual principles to the practical aspects of their lives. Her forthcoming anthology, The Legacy Letters, features letters written by 30 high-profile women to the teenage version of themselves. Lisa is also a contributing author of The Soulful Parent, a guide from the Center for the Improvement of Child Caring for African-American parents.
As an entertainment professional and entrepreneur, Lisa’s projects and companies have earned various awards and nominations including the NAACP Image Award, the Small Business Administration’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the Cable Positive Award. Lisa was named a Woman Making A Difference by the Los Angeles Business Journal and was listed as a Breakout Business Mogul by YFS Magazine.
Lisa earned a degree in Business Law from California State University Northridge, a Princeton Review Best Business School in America.
